Developing An Athlete's Shooting Position

For athletes to improve performance, enjoy the sport, and reduce long-term injuries, coaches must understand the basic principles of the prone, kneeling, and standing positions for precision marksmanship. The purpose of this module is to provide additional information to coaches who are supporting athletes in the Learn to Train phase of athlete development and completing courses through the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP).
Note: As of 2017, women also fire 40 competition shots per position.
